The Department of Communication Science and Public Relations within the Faculty of Philosophy and Social-Political Sciences at “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, Romania, is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the 6^th edition of the International Conference “Communication in Action: From Theory to Practice and Back” (CIA 2026).

This edition will be held in Iaşi, Romania, on November 19^th-21^st and is organised in partnership with the University “Paul Valéry” Montpellier III (France), the University of Salerno (Italy), Gisma University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and Fenerbahçe University.

Gheorghe-Ilie Fârte, PhD

Having a BA in Philosophy and a PhD in Logic, Gheorghe-Ilie Fârte is an associate professor at the Department of Communication Sciences and Public Relations (Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi). His scientific research is focused on the following topics: logical quantification, praxeological models of communication, democratic public discourse, mechanisms of forming evidence-based (political) beliefs, and libertarian approaches to politics.

Alexandru Grădinaru, PhD

Ioan-Alexandru Grădinaru studied Philosophy and explored questions related to language and discursivity in contemporary American philosophy in his Ph.D. dissertation presented at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași. He teaches courses and seminars on interpersonal communication, public affairs and communication theory. In his research, he focuses on issues related to Analytic Philosophy and Natural Logic and its applications for discourse construction. Ioan-Alexandru Grădinaru has also taught in many university institutions in Belgium, such as Arteveldehogeschool in Gent, Plantijn University College in Antwerp and Erasmus Hogeschool in Brussels.

Daniel-Rareș OBADĂ, PhD, Associate Professor

is an associate professor and director of the Department of Communication Sciences and Public Relations (Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi). His scientific research is focused on Public Relations, Advertising, Integrated Marketing Communication, and Media. He is a member of The European Marketing Academy (EMAC).
