Dan STOICA (b. 1950) obtained his Ph.D. (logic speciality) from "Al. I. Cuza"
University in the year 1999 with a thesis on the
relationship between logic and language.
Currently he is senior lecturer in the Section of Journalism,
Department of Letters, "Al. I. Cuza" University, Iassy. His
competence fields include sciences of information and communication,
discourse pragmatic and rhetoric, semiotic of
communication. He is a member of the
Seminar of Discursive Logic, Theory of Reasoning and Rhetoric,
member
of ABIR (since March 1990), of IFLA Round Table for
the Editors of Library Journals (since 1991)
and of EASE (European
Association of Science Editors),
since 1987..
Dan Stoica is the author of Logic and Language (Iassy:
DAN, 2000), Textbook on Bibliographical Research
Techniques (Iassy: The "Al. I. Cuza" University Press, 2000),
Public Communication. Public Relations (Iassy:
The "Al. I. Cuza" University Press, 2000) and of several papers.
