Gheorghe-Ilie FÂRTE (b. 1967) obtained his Ph.D. (logic speciality) from "Al. I. Cuza" University in the year 2000 with a thesis in quantification theory. Currently he is senior lecturer in the Chair of Communication Sciences, Department of Philosophy, "Al. I. Cuza" University, Iassy. His competence fields include traditional logic, quantification theory, speech acts theory, communication sciences and public relations. He is a member of the Seminar of Discursive Logic, Theory of Reasoning and Rhetoric.

Gheorghe-Ilie FÂRTE is the author of Regimes of Quantity in Formal Logic (Iassy: "Stefan Lupascu" Foundation, 1999, in Romanian) and Communication. A Praxiological Approach (Iassy: Demiurg, 2004, in Romanian). He has published papers in logic, communication theory and public relations.
