Asist. dr. Alexandra-Niculina Gherguț-Babii
Alexandra-Niculina Gherguț-Babii, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Public Relations, Faculty of Philosophy and Social-Political Sciences, at "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iași, Romania. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences, with her doctoral dissertation focusing on critical thinking as a tool against fake news. Her research interests include fake news, disinformation, social media dynamics, interpersonal communication, public relations, and discursivity.
She teaches seminars in Interpersonal Communication, Negotiation and Mediation, Rhetoric, Applications of Semiotics in PR and Advertising, Public Relations Management, Persuasive Strategies, Experiential Marketing and Event Management, and Journalistic Techniques and Genres. Alexandra has published a book and several scientific articles addressing issues related to critical thinking, media literacy, and disinformation, and she has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences on these topics.
